About me
As CSU, Chico Bilingual Program instructional faculty, Elizabeth works alongside in-service and pre-service bilingual and monolingual teachers to support culturally and linguistically sustaining practices in K-12 bilingual and general education classrooms. She is particularly interested in developing multilingual learners' metalinguistic awareness through cross-linguistic strategies in order to nurture and celebrate students' bilingual/bicultural/biliterate identities. Her ideal day at work is when she is able to watch local educators center multilingual learners as active participants in their own learning as they critically explore issues related to identity, diversity, justice and social action.
